What is MNS? #
The Military Nursing Service is a commissioned officer cadre of the Indian Army that provides nursing care to soldiers and their families across military hospitals in India. You join as a Cadet during a 4-year B.Sc Nursing programme and graduate as a Lieutenant.
Eligibility #
- Female, unmarried, Indian citizen
- Age 17–25 as on the closing date
- Class 12 with PCB + English, minimum 50% aggregate
- Medically fit per Army standards
Selection process #
- Online MNS Entrance Test — English, General Intelligence, General Knowledge, Biology
- Personal Interview
- Medical Examination
- Merit-based admission to one of the Armed Forces Medical Services nursing colleges (CON Pune, INHS Asvini Mumbai, AFMC Pune etc.)
What you study #
A 4-year B.Sc Nursing curriculum, with full stipend, free uniform, books, boarding and lodging during training. After graduation you are commissioned as a Lieutenant.
