Commissioned into the Army in 1978 in the coveted JAG branch and served the organisation for 34 years. The first Keralite officer to reach the highest office of JAG in the rank of Major General. Awarded the President’s Vishisht Seva Medal (VSM) for meritorious service. Represented India at the 17th International Conference at The Hague (Netherlands) and led the Indian delegation at the MILOPS Conference at Gold Coast, Australia. Empanelled as Group A Counsel for the Government of India in the Supreme Court. Settled in Kollam Dt., Kerala.

Served in NCC as ANO in the rank of Captain for several years and as Nodal Officer for B.Voc Courses. Former Principal of K R Gouriamma College of Engineering, Thuravoor. Lifetime member of the Indian Society for Technical Education and academic auditor of Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam Technical University, Thiruvananthapuram. Honorary Consultant (Academics) of SCFE.

A resident of Cherthala and an alumnus of S D College, Alappuzha. Joined the Ministry of External Affairs in 1977 and served in various capacities in Indian Embassies and Consulates in Egypt, Russia, Denmark, Yemen, UAE, Syria and Hong Kong. Retired from service in 2012 as Consul in the Consulate General of India, Hong Kong.

Served in the Indian Air Force and superannuated in the rank of Wing Commander. Participated in the National Games and represented the Services Team in Volleyball; later served as Team Manager of the Services Team. Actively associated with the official panel for the Commonwealth Games, New Delhi. Trained at the Defence Institute of Psychological Research (DIPR), New Delhi for selection of candidates for commissioning in Defence Forces.
