The four main entry routes after 10+2 / graduation #
1. NDA (National Defence Academy) — after Class 12 #
- Conducted by: UPSC, twice a year
- Eligibility: Unmarried male/female, 16.5–19.5 years, 10+2 (PCM for Air Force/Navy)
- Stages: Written exam (Maths + General Ability) → SSB Interview (5 days) → Medical
- Best for: Students who decide early — typically by Class 11
2. CDS (Combined Defence Services) — after graduation #
- Conducted by: UPSC, twice a year
- Eligibility: Graduates (engineering for IMA/AFA technical, any degree for OTA)
- Stages: Written → SSB → Medical

3. AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test) #
- For Flying, Ground Duty (Technical) and Ground Duty (Non-Technical) branches
- Conducted twice a year by IAF
