What is the 10+2 TES? #

The 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme lets unmarried male candidates join the Indian Army as officers immediately after Class 12 with PCM. After 5 years of training (1 year basic + 3 years B.Tech at CME Pune / MCEME Secunderabad / MCTE Mhow + 1 year practical), you commission as a Lieutenant — same rank as IIT graduates entering through TGC.

Eligibility #

  • Age: 16.5 – 19.5 years
  • Marital status: Unmarried male
  • Qualification: 10+2 with PCM, min 60% aggregate
  • JEE Main: Score required for shortlisting (cutoffs released yearly)

Selection flow #

  1. Online application on joinindianarmy.nic.in
  2. Shortlisting based on PCM % + JEE Main score
  3. SSB Interview (5 days)
  4. Medical examination
  5. Merit list & joining at OTA Gaya

Why TES beats most engineering colleges #

  • No college fees — you are paid a stipend during B.Tech
  • Guaranteed officer rank at 23–24
  • Government-recognised B.Tech degree from CME
  • Lifetime medical, pension, canteen access

A 4-month preparation plan #

  1. Month 1 — Strengthen PCM aligned to NCERT (Class 11 + 12)
  2. Month 2 — JEE Main practice + application strategy
  3. Month 3 — SSB Interview preparation (psychology, GTO, PI)
  4. Month 4 — Medical readiness + mock SSB conferences

How SCFE prepares you #

Our Indian Army B.Tech (TES) coaching covers PCM revision plus full SSB preparation. Most cadets sit for SSB Interview intensive batches before their board call.

Final word #

If you are 17, scoring well in PCM, and dream of wearing stars on your shoulder before turning 25 — TES is the most direct ladder. Talk to us and we will tell you what your application looks like today.
