Commissioned into the Indian Army in 1978, [Name] served with distinction in the Judge Advocate General (JAG) Branch for over 34 years. A highly accomplished legal officer, he is believed to be the first Keralite to hold the prestigious office of the Judge Advocate General in the rank of Major General.
During his illustrious career, he served as a Legal Advisor to the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) on critical military and legal matters. In recognition of his exemplary service, he was awarded the President’s Vishisht Seva Medal (VSM) for meritorious service and also received the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Commendation Card.
International and Legal Experience
Served as a Group A Counsel for the Government of India in the Supreme Court of India, representing the nation in significant legal matters. Represented India at the 17th International Conference in The Hague, Netherlands, contributing to discussions on international law and military justice.
Undertook a legal engagement visit to the Pentagon, USA, to study and exchange best practices in defense law and policy. Additionally, led the Indian delegation at the MILOPS Conference held in Gold Coast, Australia, showcasing leadership in international military operations and legal cooperation.
